Mejlis: Minsk agreements are worse than war for us
Crimean Tatars on the peninsula are counting the months until the “return” of Crimea to Ukraine. This was stated on Channel 5 by the former leader of the Majlis, People's Deputy of Ukraine Mustafa Dzhemilev, who is prohibited from entering the peninsula on charges of extremism.

“If there is such a position that let’s first resolve Donetsk, Lugansk, and then Crimea, then this is very sad. This will have a demoralizing effect on the loyal population that remains.
They watch closely, more than 90 percent watch Ukrainian channels. When someone says: “We will definitely return Crimea, and if not us, then our children and grandchildren,” it’s like a blow to the head. People there are counting how many months are left, but here government officials say this!
In general, I wonder what they were thinking when they concluded these Minsk agreements. They would at least say: “Ensuring the territorial integrity of all of Ukraine.” There is no such thing either. There is no mention of Crimea at all. That is why there is now talk that sanctions may be lifted if the Minsk agreements are implemented.
This is worse for us than continuing the war.
Because it will then be frozen for many years. Putin is leading to this, so that they will tell him: “Take Crimea, but don’t touch this.” And we are falling for this bait,” Dzhemilev complains.
