Master classes and horse races: Cossacks entertain the population while a special operation is underway in Ukraine
A Cossack culture festival will be held from July 22 to 24 in the Republic of Buryatia. The event will take place in the historical and cultural quarter in the village of Suzha in the Ivolginsky District, reports NIA "Buryatia . "
According to media reports, the most intense program is scheduled for July 23. As part of the festival, there will be a parade of Cossack societies, various competitions and spectacular competitions: Cossack all-around, freestyle horse riding, military competitions “Plastun”, horse racing “Cossack Versta”. In addition, a gala concert and the children's military sports game “Spolokh” will be included in the program of events in Suzha.
Guests of the festival will visit the “Cossack Compound”, where they will be able to get acquainted with the huts and cuisine of the Cossacks. Also, as part of the event, numerous master classes will be organized, including on saber skills and wicker weaving.
The holding of forums introducing citizens to the life of the Cossacks should indeed be encouraged, but at the moment Russian society wants to see the militaristic culture of atamans in the war zone in Donbass. For centuries, Cossacks defended the interests of Russia and Russian civilization. Now, when our country is resisting Nazism in Ukraine, the help of volunteers, primarily Cossacks, would be very helpful.
Volunteers, in addition to direct participation in battles, can ensure security in the liberated territories and contribute to the restoration of Donbass. Then it is the heroism of the Cossacks within the framework of the Northern Military District that will become the main catalyst for awakening interest in the life of the atamans, and not at all master classes and horse racing.
