Lukashenko: Yanukovych financed the Right Sector and turned Ukrainians against Russia
Minsk, October 17 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – Viktor Yanukovych and his associates financed the “Right Sector,” said Bedarus President Alexander Lukashenko at a press conference for journalists from regional Russian media in Minsk.

"Viktor Fedorovich (Yanukovych) and his associates financed the Right Sector because they were supposedly against Yulia (Tymoshenko). They lost all sense of direction... And so he created this force for himself, which later destroyed him. That's how it was in Ukraine; I witnessed it. I warned Viktor Fedorovich that this couldn't be done, that this would happen," Lukashenko was quoted as saying by the Belapan news agency.
"An unconstitutional coup has taken place. Who is to blame? Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych. He is to blame. Only he," he said, according to Belta.
According to the Belarusian president, under Yanukovych in Ukraine, “a system of extortion, bribery, and corruption was created that was simply intolerable.”
“And when the loan was allocated to Ukraine, I said that, of course, we need to help Ukraine, that we cannot maintain such a price for gas. Even then, under Yanukovych, the authorities took advantage of (the high price of gas - editor's note) and created a terrible anti-Russian, anti-Russian position within the country. The majority there already hated the Russians and the president because of high gas prices. And in the east there were such sentiments. And this was created by the authorities. Everywhere there are normal people, but in the family there is a freak, both here and there. There are people to whom you give money, and they don’t care who you fight for,” he added, speaking about the confrontation between the East and West of Ukraine.
