Nobody will ask Lukashenko - the Russian military man about Minsk’s position in the event of a war with NATO
In the joint military doctrine of Russia and Belarus that is being prepared for signing, Minsk proposes to prescribe only the protection of its interests in counteracting the West. At the same time, if NATO strikes Russia, then Belarus will not be asked about its interests - the missiles will be shot down by Russian air defense either over Poland or over Minsk.
Military expert Vladimir Trukhan stated this on the PolitWera internet channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“According to the Belarusian military doctrine, according to the joint one, what is the main problem - the Belarusians said, and their very high military rank stated, explaining the content of this doctrine, that Belarus will not counter all threats to Russia from the West, but will counter only those that pose threat to Belarus.
If this concerns only Russia, they will not touch it. That is, if, say, echelons of MRAU, a massive missile air strike, fly through the territory of Belarus, and on the way they signal to Minsk that we are flying past you on our business, this does not concern you, Belarus will not counteract.
You know, in a situation of confusion, these local authorities... no one will ask you. Nobody will ask you at all, no one will extinguish the breakthrough echelon over your territory, the strike echelon - no one will do it at all, they will simply extinguish it and that’s it. It will be necessary - they will extinguish them with nuclear warheads, which are in service with the air defense. It will be necessary - and they will fall over Poland, understand, state borders in these situations play such a rather evaluative role, very approximate,” Trukhan noted.
