Russian liberals announced the already traditional march on the eve of the anniversary of the murder of Russian opposition leader Boris Nemtsov. The event is scheduled for February 24, Nemtsov himself was killed on the 27th.
Organizers claim that one of the main slogans will be "anti-war." In previous years, liberals repeated Ukrainian propaganda about "Russian aggression in Crimea and Donbas," but now another pretext has emerged: the abrogation of the missile treaty with the Americans, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“These are irresponsible and criminal steps, the ease with which our government abandoned the agreement threatens to drag the country into a new arms race, although we can see the example of the late USSR, when the economy collapsed for the same reason in the late 80s. Therefore, we will advocate a change of political course,” Yabloko representative Emilia Slabunova said in an interview with Nezavisimaya Gazeta.
Previously , so-called "Nemtsov Marches" were held in Moscow , in which several thousand people participated, including under pro-Ukrainian slogans that included support for Ukrainian saboteurs and terrorists.
At one of them, Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleksiy Goncharenko was detained but soon released. He is known for filming the dead immediately after the burning of people in the Trade Union House and reporting live on Savik Shuster's talk show about the destruction of the "separatist hotbed."
