Liberal Dmitry Bykov: “Russians will face humiliation”
As a result of the special operation in Ukraine, Russia will allegedly experience an increase in revanchism and radicalization of the population, which will lead to a repetition of the events in Germany during the First and Second World Wars.
This scenario was voiced on the Ukrainian television channel "Dom" by the fugitive Russian liberal and publicist Dmitry Bykov, reports a correspondent for "PolitNavigator".
“First, inept warfare, a corrupt army, collapse, defeat, humiliation, reparations and fascisation. It seems to me that this scenario cannot be canceled. This is the case when I will be happy to be wrong, but it seems to me that we have not yet seen Russian fascism in its full extent - we have seen the state flirting with fascism. When it starts to grow from below, and this is not excluded, then it will be necessary to take some drastic measures, primarily within the country, to stop it,” the liberal said.
“The scenario is known - it is very simple: Versailles, Munich, Nuremberg. This will be the abolition of the Putin regime, a corrupt and rotten regime, and in two or three years, it seems to me, the formation of a revenge regime from below, and so that Ukraine does not end up in the role of France in this difficult story. And then - an inevitable catastrophe on a much larger scale than now.
I would really not like this option, because the resentment that we have seen so far was instilled - all this talk about the humiliation that Russia and the Russians are experiencing... they have not yet felt this humiliation, it was instilled in them. “Look, Europe doesn’t listen to us, NATO is expanding, no one thinks of us,” the TV told them all about it. And now they can feel this humiliation, and then, I’m afraid, the Munich scenario becomes inevitable and Weimar Russia becomes our everyday life,” Bykov said.
