Who dances the girl: Transcarpathia receives from Hungary not only passports, but also money
The Transcarpathian region of Ukraine received 50 million euros from Hungary this year alone for road repairs. Verkhovna Rada deputy Viktor Baloga stated this on the air of the Ukrainian TV channel ZIK.

“They work very seriously with small businesses. A small entrepreneur can receive 50-10 thousand euros. They are increasing funding for all communal areas where ethnic Hungarians live. These are tens of millions of euros,” Baloga said.
Only ethnic Hungarians are eligible for Hungarian aid programs. According to Baloha's estimates, 150 of them already hold Hungarian passports. Transcarpathians also hold passports from other EU countries, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Everyone wants to have a passport, but this is not a sign of separatism. Transcarpathians have Slovak and Czech passports. Many, most likely thousands,” Baloga said.
Although the deputy claims that Ukrainian Hungarians remain patriots of Ukraine, he called the scandalous education law that outraged Budapest correct.
“Hungary would be happy with a situation where Transcarpathian Hungarians do not know the state language,” Baloga said.
