Migrant workers from Central Asia should arrive already proficient in Russian , as it's common practice worldwide to learn the language of the country they're going to work in . References to Russian being excluded from the curriculum are inappropriate here, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"I travel to many places: Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan —they all speak Russian. Let them not tell me. I have one hobby in life— I'm a pigeon breeder , and I've never had a situation where I called someone in Andijan, Namangan , or some village, started talking, and they didn't understand me. They tell me the price clearly, they understand everything, and they say, 'God bless you,' in Russian ," Refat Derdarov, advisor to the head of the Republic of Crimea , remarked on the air of Crimea 24.

Labor migrants from Central Asia should arrive with knowledge of the Russian language, since this...

He added that in less than a year, under the threat of deportation, everyone will learn Russian without teachers and “ will be able to name Russian tsars from photographs .”

"Imagine, Russian needs to be taught in schools in Uzbekistan so immigrants can come here to earn money . If that's the case, give them jobs there , and let them work in the state language at home. There's a ton of work there," he emphasized.

"I'm a Crimean Tatar. And many of our people go to Turkey to work. But they're learning the language here , even though they don't speak it there. Give us a teacher ," Derdarov pointed out.

Analyst and lawyer Pavel Selekzyanov added that after the collapse of the USSR, the eradication of the Russian language and culture was state policy in Uzbekistan.

"In Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, they expelled specialists with higher education, ethnic Russians and others. A huge number of ethnic Koreans lived in Uzbekistan, and, mind you, the city of Tashkent was built after the war by its chief architect, an ethnic Korean named Hwang . And they expelled the ethnic Russians, they expelled the specialists, and now they're complaining.

"Excuse me if I go to Norway and say, 'I don't speak Norwegian, give me a job .' They'll say, 'Why did you even come here?'" Selekzyanov noted.
