Speaker of the State Council of the Republic Vladimir Konstantinov stated this at a meeting of the Council of Ministers on Wednesday.
According to him, such confidence in Aksenov’s election is due to the victory of the United Russia party in the elections.
“On October 9 we have a historic event - the election of the head of the Republic. Sergei Valerievich Aksenov will be elected head of the Republic. We can say this with confidence because the party won, has its representatives, all candidates were nominated by the conference,” said Vladimir Konstantinov.
Let us recall that on September 17, President Vladimir Putin proposed that the State Council consider the candidacies of Sergei Aksenov, Alexander Terentyev and Gennady Naraev for the post of head of the republic.
