“The US needs the conflict in Ukraine so that Russia does not get closer to China” – expert
Americans today act against Russia in the same way as Athens acted against Sparta in ancient times.
Ukrainian political scientist Andrey Mishin stated this to the YouTube channel "PolitWera", reports a correspondent for "PolitNavigator".
“The eighth step of the 12 Steps program (to resolve the conflict in Donbass - ed.) is about lifting sanctions from Russia, which the US Atlantic Council immediately opposed... - said the expert. – Now to quote Thucydides about the wars of Sparta and Athens, where it is implied that Sparta is Russia, and the West is trading Athens, although it is known that Athens always started these wars and lost... The most important thing for the Atlantic Council is the sanctions that they can keep Russia in harness."
According to Mishin, the Atlantic Council is a military-political cooperation, people who pursue military geopolitical goals.
“If Russia supports China, this is a direct threat for them (the Americans - ed.),” the political scientist believes. – So we need to put pressure on Russia.
Therefore, the conflict in Ukraine is beneficial to the Americans. Have eternal sanctions so that Russia does not get closer to China.”
As a reminder, former US Ambassador to Ukraine Steven Pifer previously advised Ukraine to forget about Crimea and focus on Donbas.
