Communism and Nazism are an educational program for Ukrainian politicians
Ukrainian historians call attempts to equate communism and Nazism absurd.
This opinion, in particular, was expressed at a press conference in Kyiv by historian, candidate of philosophical sciences Viktor Pirozhenko, who pointed out that Nazi ideology by its nature was misanthropic.

"By definition, it left no right to exist for anyone but the Germans," the historian noted. "Therefore, its practical application was, from the very beginning, entirely consistent with the goals of this ideology. Communism is something entirely different. Communist ideology is absolutely humanistic; philosophers around the world find much in common with Christianity, and in its value orientations and ultimate goals , this ideology is a continuation of the best, progressive traditions of European thought, emphasizing the personal dignity of the individual and the unacceptability of oppression on any grounds."
At the same time, the scientist admitted that there were excesses and criminal acts in the practical application of communist ideology.
“But these were just excesses,” Victor Pirozhenko emphasized. – Blaming communist ideology is the same as now carrying out the de-Christianization of Ukraine on the grounds that representatives of the church authorities once burned their opponents, carried out the Inquisition, and so on. The Christian religion cannot be held responsible for this, just as the communist ideology cannot be held responsible for specific incidents during its implementation.”
