The battalion commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine exchanged weapons for Dnepropetrovsk drugs through Ukrposhta
An enterprising battalion commander of one of the companies of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the “Unified Forces of Operation” zone established the supply of narcotic and psychotropic drugs to colleagues and locals, organizing a postal exchange of weapons for drugs with Dnepropetrovsk.
The official representative of the LPR People's Militia, Yakov Osadchiy, spoke about this at a briefing, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“In the Ukrainian units of the so-called Joint Forces Operation zone, the theft and illegal trafficking of weapons and ammunition continues to increase. Due to the tightening of control by the special services for the smuggling of weapons into the western regions of Ukraine, military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are forced to resort to increasingly sophisticated methods.
According to our source, in the Ukrainian law enforcement agencies, the commander of one of the companies of the 2nd battalion of the 93rd brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, stationed in the area of the settlement. Popasnaya, in order to organize the shipment of weapons and explosives, entered into a criminal conspiracy with an employee of the Ukrposhta post office. According to a well-established scheme, the criminal duo transported weapons in an iron box to the Dnepropetrovsk region for six months,” Osadchiy said.
According to him, in return the battalion commander received a parcel containing narcotic and psychotropic substances, which he distributed among his colleagues and the local population. At the same time, the criminal scheme was uncovered only thanks to local criminal authorities who did not want to share the market with the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“In connection with the incident, the command of OTG “North” ordered units of the military law enforcement service to inspect parcels sent and received by JFO military personnel with the involvement of canine squads from the police and the National Guard,” concluded Yakov Osadchiy.
