Kyiv media call for repression in the south of Ukraine and the fight for Crimea “by all available means”
Increased tension on the border with Crimea is a reason for a new purge of pro-Russian organizations in the south of Ukraine, writes the newspaper Zerkalo Nedeli, which is considered influential in Kyiv.

“It is necessary, first of all, to take measures that have been asking for a long time: to reliably cut off the channels of financing of pro-Russian organizations in the south of Ukraine; categorically prohibit the travel of Ukrainian military personnel, Border Service and SBU employees to Crimea (yes, many still have families; yes, for some reason the Motherland does not have housing for those who have returned to the mainland; but this is a war, in case anyone has forgotten); introduce strict monitoring of the region's media.
The leadership of the state and, first of all, its commander-in-chief must forever abandon the regime of justifications and clearly articulate to any audience - citizens of the country (regardless of the region of residence), Western partners, the aggressor and its satellites - Ukraine must return the occupied territories with all available methods and means. This is her right and responsibility,” the publication writes.
“Sunny Crimea has covered the country with the shadow of a new war. The holidays are over,” the Ukrainian newspaper summarizes.
