The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, managed to split the European Union, gain an advantage in Syria, and Western leaders come to see him on the carpet.
"Foreign Affairs Maidan" expert Andrey Klimenko reached this conclusion during an online interview on the Glared website, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“He managed to split the EU into two parts with Nord Stream 2, and with the same project to split the EU and the USA. He managed to win a tactical victory in Syria, no matter what anyone said. If you look territorially, what was and what has become, and how the territory controlled by Assad’s troops together with Russian troops has expanded today, it becomes obvious that Putin really won there, I hope, a temporary tactical victory,” the expert said.
He also added that Putin is active in EU countries, where “everything works out for him.”
“So far he is winning more and more, especially on the European continent. After Assad, that bloody dictator and murderer, came to him in Sochi, the next day he had Merkel, and a few days later Macron came to St. Petersburg, whom Putin mocked as a boy - they say, “if you need to provide your safety, contact us, we are ready.” This whole context suggests that Putin is euphoric, in a good position, and, of course, this poses a threat to Ukraine,” Klimenko said.
