Kedmi: It’s time for Russia to declare a zone of interests closed to the United States
As long as Russia continues to engage in “naive agreements,” it will continue to receive from the West what it had in Ukraine and Georgia. The former head of the Israeli intelligence service Nativ, Yakov Kedmi, stated this on the Rossiya-1 channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Kedmi noted that since the 19th century, the United States has been guided by the Monroe Doctrine - the idea of declaring the American continent a zone closed to the intervention of European powers.
“Until Russia has its own Monroe Doctrine and while it engages in naive agreements, it will receive what it had in Ukraine, Georgia, and other areas. So it’s time to get rid of naivety,” he said.
According to Kedmi, the economic power of the United States allows them to push the situation in Venezuela to a state favorable to themselves.
“What will happen in Venezuela depends only on the Venezuelans themselves. There will be no good things there, and the fairy tales that “this is a very rich country” are based on statistics. It is possible to develop the Venezuelan economy, this requires large investments, which is what the Americans are doing - they say: “And we will crush them, we will crush the people to the point that they become obedient and do what is beneficial to us.” And there is no idea that the majority of people don’t want something there. He is so downtrodden, so politically illiterate and inert that the authorities decide. If they use power, they will (results - ed.), if they don’t, Latin America will go back and forth,” Kedmi said.
