Mikheil Saakashvili as Deputy Prime Minister will have no real powers, and the only thing he can do is destroy the image of the government.

“I wholeheartedly welcome this appointment and I believe that Zelensky very much misses Saakashvili and the team of Georgian reformers Sakvarelidze, Kvitashvili, Dekanoidze - this entire team. Everything has already happened for us, but we still lacked this team.
Now, he will receive the post of deputy prime minister, which I very much welcome. Who is the Deputy Prime Minister? This is a man with a briefcase, an office and a car. It has no budget, no ministry, civil servants are not subordinate to it, no structure, it’s just a very beautiful name. A deputy prime minister without a ministry is a sign man.
And this sign-man should now be engaged in reforms, which Saakashvili may be ready for, and in which he has personal experience - different, both positive and negative. And now he will join Zelensky’s team with his temperament, his lack of control, his background, his lack of perception by part of society. And what will he come across?
On your car and on the sign. And for complete sabotage of civil servants and other ministers. And in a very short period of time, he will become a “ram” that will smash into pieces the remnants of the rating of Zelensky and his team - as he, in fact, did with Poroshenko.
Therefore, I not only welcome, but categorically welcome Mikheil Saakashvili, I believe that he is the best reformer at this stage. As they say, if the barn burns down, so does the hut. This is the only option that Zelensky’s team will provide him with. While he still hopes for something, he discussed with the president the possibilities of reforms, he will now begin to produce ideas, and then he will stumble upon a blank wall of snoopers, governors, ministers, and even a misunderstanding of Zelensky.
And he will do what he does best - dissolve the political rating of his opponents. I don’t know how long it will be before he calls Zelensky’s team a team of hucksters, but I’m sure it will be soon.
I believe that his role will be simply wonderful - he will bring out from the outside everything that Zelensky’s team lives and breathes, show us the inside and the wrong side, and will finally make the very last deaf-blind optimists realize that a fish rots from the head. And this will be his great merit, he will cope with this wonderfully,” Elena Lukash summed up ironically.
