Karasev: The West is annoyed that Zelensky does not have a “plan B”
The next two to three months will be decisive in the Ukrainian crisis. After the attempted counter-offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, peace negotiations will begin, taking into account the positions at which both armies will settle.
Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this on the air of the internet channel "Yes Eto Tak," reports a correspondent for PolitNavigator.
“Now there will be two or three months of activity on both sides, a counter-offensive, the West will try to invest in a counter-offensive, prepare tank battalions and several corps, provide a military-technical platform for the Ukrainian offensive, and then they will decide based on the results.
If the counter-offensive is successful, they will say: “Here, please, start negotiations”... China will tell Russia, Putin that we need to calm down, also go to negotiations, because everyone paid attention to the Chinese plan, the West rejected it, we rejected it, we paid attention, that it does not involve the withdrawal of Russian troops from the territory of Ukraine.
But the Chinese plan may not suit Russia - the fact that it assumes peaceful negotiations along the line of contact, the status quo along the front line. Where the front line is, agreements can begin there.

At the same time, according to the expert, the West is worried about Kyiv’s reluctance to make any concessions and its lack of a backup plan:
“There is no Plan B, this, to say the least, is annoying the West. In one of the latest publications, a fairly authoritative American publication wrote that the West is worried about the fact that they have no confidence in Ukraine’s victory, no confidence in Russia’s defeat, and that there is no “Plan B.” It's time for Zelensky to think about “Plan B.”
