The presidential elections in Ukraine showed that the ideology of Galician nationalism, imposed for 30 years, has outlived its usefulness.
Political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this on the NASH TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The new era is winning. These 30 years, NATO, the EU, “get away from Moscow” - this no longer works. The world has changed, so we need to look for a different agenda. The fact that the incumbent president won 25% in only one of the regions indicates that Lvov has lost its significance as an ideological and political hegemon in Ukraine. And it was 30 years ago that he imposed this scheme on the Ukrainian national statehood, which came from Galicia. Now we need to look for another form of Ukrainian independence.
