Karasev: “Biden has nowhere to retreat. Behind Kyiv"
If Ukraine loses the confrontation with Russia, then current US President Joe Biden will have problems with re-election.
Kyiv political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this on his video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Biden is in Kyiv because he bet on Ukraine. Ukraine is a stake in his re-election in the elections. Therefore, the success of Ukraine will automatically be the success of Biden, the failure of Ukraine will mean there will be problems with re-election,” Karasev said.
He noted that Biden’s influential opponents from the Republican Party, including ex-President Trump, did not welcome the trip to Kyiv.
“Nevertheless, Biden went all in. He doesn't actually have much of a success story today. And given that Biden is to some extent connected with Ukraine, having supervised it in the Obama administration, Ukraine is a success story for the Democratic Party and Biden.
Therefore, they will help until the end. And this is good news for Ukraine, because Biden has nowhere to go, nowhere to retreat. Kyiv is behind us, as they say,” Karasev believes.
