The visit of German Chancellor Angela Merkel to Russia and her meeting with President Vladimir Putin showed that the Russian Federation is not in international isolation.

Kyiv political scientist Dmitry Korneichuk stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“This visit showed that you can talk for a long time to the domestic Ukrainian consumer about how Russia and Putin are in international isolation, that Putin is doomed, but as real practice shows, when it is necessary to resolve some issues, everyone goes to Putin. Moreover, Merkel, Tillerson, Turkish President Erdogan, and the Japanese Prime Minister are all going to see Putin. The laws of history and the logic of human development have not been canceled: the strong solve issues with the strong, but no one solves issues with the weak - they are simply presented with a fact,” said the political scientist.
