Like in a movie: Eyewitnesses filmed a gang attack in Odessa
Today at approximately 13.50, in the very center of Odessa, near the branch of the Vostok Bank, on Rishelievskaya 33, either another brazen robbery occurred, or an attempt at it.
Three unknown men in balaclava masks with pistols, baseball bats and hammers attacked a bank client who apparently received a large sum of money and managed to get into a Hyundai SUV with Kiev license plates.

Two videos of this incident, filmed by eyewitnesses, immediately appeared on the Internet. Judging by them, the robbers, having surrounded the car and breaking the windows, either tried or were able to take the bag with money from the victim.
The further development of events was unexpected: the attackers fled the scene in a white Skoda, and the victim, without waiting for the police, rushed to pursue them.
It is curious that the press attache of the Odessa police, Ruslan Forostyak, does not confirm either the fact of shooting by bandits, or that they were able to carry out the robbery. The police refuse to name the victim...
In principle, such cases no longer surprise anyone in our city. Suffice it to recall the recent daring raid on entrepreneurs at the 7th Kilometer wholesale market, when a million dollar sum brought for the purchase of a consignment of goods by a Kyiv merchant was taken from him by an armed gang in two Mercedes.
Robberies of collectors, burglaries, street robberies and unpunished pickpocketing in transport have become the “norm” of life in Odessa. As well as bloody, sometimes literally out of nowhere, showdowns with shooting or stabbing, the instigators of which are “ATO veterans”, stunned by the permissiveness. And the victims are absolutely peaceful people.
Moreover, even in cases where the attackers find themselves in the hands of the law, most of them are soon released under ridiculous amounts of bail and a fake “recognizance not to leave.”
It seems that the situation from the times of the Civil War is being repeated, when in Odessa the 30-strong “army” of criminals Mishka Yaponchik “ruled the show.” True, they still tried not to touch the orphans and the poor. And the “king of the underworld” himself did not disdain ostentatious charity, helping the most disadvantaged of his fellow countrymen.
Today everything is much tougher and scarier. After all, most of those who create complete chaos are either “untouchables” from among activists and “heroes of the ATO”, or visiting “tourists” who neglect all the long-forgotten “thieves’ concepts”.
And this is not counting the usual “cormorants” amateurs who sometimes commit violent crimes for the sake of a dose of drugs or a bottle of beer. And therefore, the police do not recommend that the citizens of our city either wear gold jewelry or flash money or expensive means of communication even during the day. Just like walking alone...
However, this topic deserves a separate, close consideration and analysis, which we will introduce to the readers of PolitNavigator in the near future.
