The times when violent clashes between deputies within the walls of the Verkhovna Rada were in the nature of ideological confrontations ended with the last convocation of the Ukrainian parliament.
Deputy from the European Solidarity faction Victoria Syumar stated this on the NTA TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“What was Geo Leros talking about? He talked about Wagnergate. Is this important for the country or unimportant? They wanted to shut his mouth the same way they shut the mouth of large television channels, which did not remember either the investigation of this case or the investigation that was published on CNN. In fact, it is about an investigation into high-level treason among Ukrainian politicians.
Why was he pulled away from the podium? Because he started talking about it, and criticism was directed at the current government!” Syumar stated.
“Yes, there were fights in parliament in the last convocation, in the post-Maidan convocation, when the war began, in fact there were a lot of fights, but these were fights due to the situation in the country. These were fights when things were said that were unacceptable from my point of view - insults to Ukraine, insults to people who are fighting for their land, and these were ideological confrontations,” the nostalgic gunsmith said.
“And now we have come to the point of Tishchenko, he is such a large physique, he is such a strong man who delayed Leros, only so that Leros did not dare to criticize Zelensky. And this is about something else. This is about a different level, this is about the level of an authoritarian leader who is very afraid of criticism. And this is very bad, because this is already classic censorship,” Syumar lamented.
At the same time, the head of the Eurosolidarity faction in the Lviv City Council, Pyotr Adamik, also noted that he was disappointed by the fight between parliamentarians.
“This is not even a fight, because I saw a fight in the Verkhovna Rada when the Kharkov agreements were voted on. It was a fight, it was obvious, but it was a circus. It was one deputy from the “servants” who took another deputy from the “servants” half as big and carried him aside. Well, is this a fight? Let them come to the rugby and see what a fight is like. They feed us a low-grade show,” Adamik clowned.
