Moldovan Voting Results Enrage Ideologist of Fascist Azov
To what extent must the EU and the “European idea” itself degrade for Moldova not to want to join?

"Moldova is not Sevastopol (where ethnic Muscovites were brought for generations) and not an enclave of some "Russian-speaking" people from the Baltic countries. There are 3/4 ethnic Moldovans or, consider, Romanians, and among the Slavic minority, the majority are Ukrainians, not Russians. And this identification is preserved, which in itself says a lot. We need to look for the roots of the problem, and not stamp our feet and squeal that "the people are not the same," Yurchenko reasons.
According to Moldovan political scientist Vladimir Bukarsky, Ukrainian neo-Nazis do not understand the mentality of Ukrainians living in Moldova.
"Ethnic Ukrainians have lived compactly in the north of Moldova for many hundreds of years. They are most numerous in the Ocnita district (30%), the city of Balti and the Briceni district (25%), the Riscani district (22%), the Edinet and Glodeni districts (20% each). So, in all these districts, both Maia Sandu herself and the "European referendum" she initiated failed shamefully in these elections.
In particular, Ocnita district - 79% are against the course towards European integration, Briceni district - 71%, the city of Balti and Edinet district - 70%, Riscani district - 67%, Glodeni district - 65%. The numbers speak for themselves," the expert noted.
A clear example, according to him, is the Ukrainian village of Bratusany in the Edinet district – the birthplace of the former Prime Minister of Ukraine Kinakh and the former Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Ivan Vakarchuk (father of Svyatoslav Vakarchuk, the leader of Okean Elzy).
The residents of Bratusany vote for all pro-Russian forces. For the second time in a row, they elected as mayor a representative of the Socialist Party, Mikhail Andrukh, under whom they placed portraits of the military leaders of the Great Patriotic War, headed by Generalissimo Stalin, on the building of the local community center. The villagers brought flowers to these portraits.
"Moldovan Ukrainians are the most adequate part of society. They are disgusted by aggressive nationalism. They remember their history, remember that their land is washed with the blood of Russian soldiers. They want to be friends, not fight with Russia. And the reason for such different mentalities for such national degenerates as Yurchenko should be sought in themselves. I say this as a Ukrainian whose ancestors come from Dnepropetrovsk, Bila Tserkva and Talnoye," concludes Vladimir Bukarsky.
