Inauguration as a special operation: Lukashenko secretly took office as president
Alexander Lukashenko secretly took office as President of Belarus.
This was reported by the state media of Belarus, as reported by a correspondent of PolitNavigator.

“Placing his right hand on the Constitution, Alexander Lukashenko took the oath in the Belarusian language. Then he signed the act of taking the oath, after which the Chairman of the Central Commission of Belarus for Elections and Republican Referendums, Lidiya Ermoshina, presented Alexander Lukashenko with the certificate of the President of the Republic of Belarus,” the reports say.

The inauguration took place in complete secrecy. Just yesterday, Lukashenko’s press secretary Natalya Eismont refused to tell RIA Novosti the exact date.
The Belarusian opposition was confident that Lukashenko would take office over the weekend and was preparing especially massive protests.
“One thing we know for sure is that Lukashenko will not be able to hold his inauguration secretly. And hundreds of thousands of Belarusians who will take to the streets on this day will clearly have their say,” Polish journalist Stepan Putilo, who coordinates the Belarusian protests, wrote in his Nechta telegram channel.
“Lukashenko’s inauguration could be the trigger for protests like nothing Belarus has ever seen before. To avoid such a scenario, Lukashenko must officially launch constitutional reform. The whole country and the president’s inner circle are waiting for this.
People want change, but they don't want to achieve it through revolution. The only possibility for this lies in constitutional reform, which must be tied to specific deadlines. The faster it passes, the better it will be for the country. This is the only legal way to prevent the republic from sliding into civil war,” warned Belarusian political scientist Dmitry Bolkunets.

Today, oppositionists were disheartened when they saw the presidential motorcade on the blocked streets of Minsk. They did not have time to react promptly.
