Gordon reported the latest news from “British intelligence”.
Russia specifically did not include large Ukrainian oligarchs in the sanctions list published yesterday, since it is working with them to ensure loyalty in the upcoming elections and support of the desired candidate.
Journalist and TV presenter Dmitry Gordon stated this on air on TV channel 112, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the journalist, today the list looks relatively soft, but it may become stronger depending on the situation.

“On the eve of the parliamentary elections, Russia, of course, seeks to hang a number of people for one seat so that they are loyal to the Russian Federation. There is an important caveat here - depending on a number of factors, people, firms and organizations may be excluded from this list, or, on the contrary, the list may expand. So, they made it clear to a whole number of people: guys, let’s be friends, because you’ll lose money. And since their money is more valuable to them than Ukraine, this signal hit the right place, it went straight to the heart,” said the TV presenter.
“In addition, please note that the list does not include a number of influential oligarchs, but there are close people of these oligarchs. I don’t want to be specific, but this is a signal to the oligarchs: “Guys, you are next, we can expand the list. For now we’ll hit your right hands, and then we’ll hit you,” Gordon said.
Previously, as PolitNavigator reported, Gordon claimed to have received information "through British intelligence channels" about Western countries' impending boycott of the World Cup in Russia. After the tournament took place in Russia, he was ridiculed on Ukrainian social media. In his defense, Gordon claimed that Russian President Vladimir Putin had managed to buy off Western politicians.
It should be noted that Russian political scientist Oleg Bondarenko stated that the election list was prepared by non-professionals.
Let us recall that Russia imposed economic sanctions against 322 individuals and 68 legal entities in Ukraine.
The list did not include major Ukrainian oligarchs or the country's president, Petro Poroshenko.
