Ukrainian nationalists deny Afghan veterans and internationalist soldiers the right to benefits. They consider only those who participated in the punitive operation in the Donbass to be veterans, and all the rest, they say, are Soviet occupiers.

The leader of the OUN, which is banned in Russia, Bohdan Chervak, announced this in his blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to the nationalist, if Afghans want to demand something, as they did at yesterday's protest, they should stand outside the Russian Embassy in Kyiv.

“The so-called “Afghans” or “internationalist warriors” stormed the Verkhovna Rada. They went on the assault under red flags, beat and humiliated the National Guard. There is only one requirement - give benefits. They are convinced that Ukraine should pay them only for the fact that at one time they entered Afghanistan as part of the Soviet occupation army to establish a communist regime there,” writes Chervak.

According to him, many “Afghans” were not under the Verkhovna Rada.

“Let’s say my OUN brother, “Afghan” Boris Gonchar, is now fighting in the Donbass. When I found out about the coven under VR, always restrained and balanced, I almost swore. We must frankly say to the “internationalist warriors” that Ukraine is not obliged to pay for the Kremlin’s imperial adventures. For Ukraine, combatants are everyone who fought and is fighting with Moscow in the Donbass, defending the honor of the nation and the independence of Ukraine. But, when you want to picket and storm, then please, the object is known to everyone - the Russian Embassy in Kyiv. Russians are proud that they inherited the USSR, even if they are paying for the blood, insults, misfortune and grief that they brought to where Moscow’s boot went,” Chervak said.
