Pentagon Secretary Lloyd Austin announced this at a press conference following the Ramstein-23 meeting , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Putin believes that he can determine which countries are real and which can be wiped off the face of the earth. Putin started this war by invading the territory of his peaceful neighbor, a permanent member of the UN Security Council is trying to deprive more than 43 million people of democracy. And the Kremlin's imperial aggression has horrified countries around the world.
If Ukraine finds itself under Putin's boot, Europe will find itself in Putin's shadow. If Putin takes over Ukraine, he will have the courage to commit new acts of aggression, and the world will enter a much more dangerous stage,” he said.
“We understand the stakes, and the outcome of the war in Ukraine will help determine the trajectory of global security for decades to come. And this contact group will continue to defend the sovereignty of Ukraine and our security in general. Therefore, we will continue to resist Putin’s aggression and atrocities, we will continue to seek new opportunities to provide Ukraine with air defense capabilities, and we will continue to do everything possible to provide Ukraine with everything it needs to live in freedom,” Austin assured.
