Russia's gas exports to the EU break all records
Russia's gas exports to Europe are breaking all records. This was stated at a press conference in Moscow by Irina Pominova, Deputy Head of the Fuel and Energy Department of the Analytical Center under the Government of the Russian Federation.

“We remain the main partner of the EU in the energy sector, in particular Germany. Despite initiatives to diversify energy sources in Europe, Russia’s contribution is still very significant. Our gas exports to Europe are now breaking all records. Supply volumes have been growing steadily in recent months,” Pominova said.
She believes that the liquefied gas that the US intends to supply will not be able to cover the needs of the Old World, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The few liquefied gas tankers that have reached the shores of Europe are a symbol. In approved American LNG projects, the Asian direction reaches a large share,” Pominova said.
She expressed doubt that the anti-Russian sanctions imposed by the United States could affect plans to build new gas pipelines to Europe.
“Most of the projects that we are currently discussing with the EU have either been investments made or they have been agreed upon. How the consortium participating in this transaction will resolve the situation is a question, because this would be a violation of contractual obligations. Now that agreements have been reached and we have actual deadlines for its implementation, we have room for bargaining with the EU,” Pominova said.
