The Depositors Protection Fund began to extort Ukrainian loans from Crimeans
Crimeans - borrowers of Ukrainian banks have already encountered or may soon encounter bailiffs seizing loans and pledges. The Crimean Depositors Protection Fund (DFF) has moved to enforce court decisions to recover the Crimean property of Ukrainian banks. Almost 6 billion rubles worth of property has already been seized in favor of the fund.

The bailiff has the right to take measures to search for the debtor’s property and request information and documents from individuals and organizations. If the loan is repaid and the property is no longer pledged to the bank, the fund takes measures to remove the encumbrances. To clarify, the Fund invites repaid borrowers who have received notices of the seizure of their loans or collateral to contact the Fund. For those who still owe Ukrainian banks, there is no need to do anything - for them, the situation, in fact, does not change, and they can repay or not repay the loan as before.
The publication of these clarifications by the Federal Bailiff Service is not only an attempt to reassure citizens frightened by bailiffs, but also an effort to collect more accurate statistics on the actual volume of seized loans, Kommersant reports . Currently, the fund does not have complete data on loans from Ukrainian banks due to the lack of information exchange with Ukrainian banks.
Moreover, if with the property of Ukrainian banks in Crimea everything is simple - the fund alienates and sells them, then with loans in Crimea the authorities side with the citizens, so they may not actually be recovered. Deputies have prepared a bill providing for a moratorium on the repayment by Crimeans of loans issued by Ukrainian banks, the newspaper writes.
