Filaret was left in the cold along with Firtash and Kolomoisky
The Patriarchate of Constantinople, with its latest decisions, left the head of the Kyiv schismatics, Mikhail Denisenko, without his church.
Kiev political scientist Andrei Golovachev writes about this on his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The expert recalls that Ukrainian oligarchs Igor Kolomoisky and Dmitry Firtash made unprecedented efforts to overthrow Yanukovych, but in the end they turned out to be the main victims of the consequences of the Maidan, which they financed, since the new government took away almost all their assets and drove them out of the country.
“The ambitious Filaret also miscalculated. The decision of the Ecumenical Synod unexpectedly lowered him from Patriarch to Metropolitan, and even without his own church. Moreover, it becomes clear that Filaret will not have a chance to become the patriarchate in the new united church, if such a unification ever occurs. For this reason, it is Filaret who will become the main obstacle to the unification, and it is he who will be eliminated by Bartholomew with the hands of those who will rush to fill Filaret’s place. The turbulent processes caused by Filaret will grind him down and ultimately throw him to the sidelines of history,” writes the political scientist.

“Well, the truth is once again confirmed that coups are prepared by some, and completely different people benefit from the results. Now it’s the turn of poor, poor Filaret to see this,” summarizes Golovachev.
As PolitNavigator reported, Constantinople officially recognized Filaret: The "squeezing" of Ukraine from the Russian Church begins.
Filaret was left looking like a fool along with Firtash and Kolomoisky.
