This counteroffensive failed. Prepare the following - Kyiv political scientist
The Ukrainian authorities need to admit that the current counter-offensive has failed and has led to nothing other than the capture of a few small villages in the “gray zone.”
Kyiv political scientist Konstantin Bondarenko stated this in an interview with journalist Alexander Shelest, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to the expert, Ukraine should prepare for the next operations against Russian troops, accepting that this year’s offensive was unsuccessful.
“The war is dragging on, will be protracted, and even if some kind of truce is reached under pressure from the West and so on, this will not mean that the war as a whole is over - this is also a very important point.
As for the counter-offensive, it is not going according to plan, everyone understands this wonderfully, except for Danilov, perhaps, who constantly says that everything is going according to plan, everything is going as we planned, you just don’t know our plans, as Danilov says. But he has such a role, such a task, he is forced to speak, probably,” the political scientist said.
“But we all wonderfully see that if a counteroffensive was announced back in December, now it is already mid-September, and the counteroffensive has not borne fruit, except for a few settlements, most of which were in the gray zone. Moreover, settlements that, even if you go to Wikipedia and see what kind of settlements they are, there are 400 residents, 200 residents as of 2001.
That is, these are small settlements, but these small settlements turned into fortresses. For the sake of these small settlements, a huge number of people are sacrificed on both sides. So I think that today we should admit that we need to prepare for something new, we should admit that this counter-offensive was unsuccessful and it is necessary to prepare for new operations,” Bondarenko said.
