Cultural figures who did not support the SVO in Ukraine should publicly repent and go to Donbass.
State Duma deputy Dmitry Kuznetsov announced this at a meeting of the A Just Russia party, a correspondent reports. "PolitNavigator".
“If a person is ready to publicly change his position, support the residents of Donbass, our armed forces, then no matter what he says in the past, our people are ready to forgive and accept. We should not become like the Western repressive machine, cancel culture, and so on,” Kuznetsov said.
He emphasized that he is against the persecution of cultural figures, but for tough measures against government officials who allow them to work.
As an example, the politician cited the Bolshoi Theater, which allowed the following season to stage “The Florentine Tragedy” by director Alexander Molochnikov, who openly opposes the North Military District and spreads Ukrainian fakes. The deputy believes that the director of the Bolshoi should be fired for such actions.
Similar actions, according to Kuznetsov, should be taken against the director of Channel One, Konstantin Ernst, who is going to return TV presenter Ivan Urgant and fashion critic Alexander Vasiliev, who publicly betrayed Russia in Latvia, back on air.
“He must influence Ivan and convince him to go to Donbass. One of the big fears of civil society is that Ivan Urgant will not apologize, but will return,” Kuznetsov said.
