The epidemic situation in Ukraine is getting out of control
Ukraine was not ready for the second wave of coronavirus infection.
Kira Rudyk, head of the Golos party and a member of the Verkhovna Rada who has recovered from COVID-19, stated this in a comment to the Kyiv magazine Novoye Vremya, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

First of all, because now the coronavirus is superimposed on the seasonal epidemic of influenza and ARVI. It is difficult for doctors and patients to distinguish one from the other. Therefore, mass testing is needed, but no one here is doing it. The situation is so out of control that people are waiting for test results for weeks, and at this time the Minister of Health says that there are enough tests and everyone who needs them is getting them,” the deputy said.
According to her, the outbreak in parliament occurred primarily due to non-compliance with epidemiological rules.
“Remember how deputies entered the parliament premises when the epidemic and quarantine had just begun. There were gloves, masks and even goggles. Everyone tried to keep their distance. Now the majority in the Rada have begun to neglect security. The period of active election campaign also has an impact. The number of meetings with people has increased, and therefore the risk of infection has increased,” added Rudyk.
