Expert: Hungary is just the beginning of big troubles for Ukraine
Ukraine, on the international stage, appears like a teenager going through puberty, placing itself in the spotlight and demanding affection. Energy market expert Valentin Zemlyansky stated this on the Pervyi Kazatskyi TV channel, as reported by PolitNavigator.
According to the expert, with such a positioning, there can be no talk of any serious conversation or infrastructure projects with Ukraine.

“How Ukraine sees itself in the world or how it is seen in the world. This is infantilism and puberty. Infantilism, because everything will be decided for us - either Uncle Biden, or Boris Johnson, or Mama Merkel, maybe, and now another dad will come there.
And puberty is that I am the smartest, the most beautiful and everything revolves around me. Still, they went through this when they were 16-18 years old. Everyone around me is an asshole, but I’m great. This is exactly what we look like, and Kuleba’s statements fit exactly this logic.
We’ll go now and complain - “you’re fools, you betrayed us, you’re not my friend now.” It sounds like this, it looks exactly like this on the world stage. And now we will go and complain to the elders, the pioneer leaders.
Well, then who will have serious conversations with you and discuss the implementation of some large or not very infrastructure projects, investment projects, etc., etc., if you cannot hold your tongue and remain silent where you need to remain silent...
The situation with Hungary very clearly shows the level of the current government, its competence in resolving interstate, intrastate, and internal political issues. That’s it,” Zemlyansky said.
In his opinion, Hungary’s refusal to purchase Russian gas through Ukraine may be just the beginning; the Ukrainian authorities should immediately fly to Budapest and negotiate on preserving transit, and not make public accusations of betrayal:
“We must not make it public. Why do you need a public scandal? You raise your butt and go to Budapest, sit down and talk. Say: “Guys, we would like to understand what the transit guarantees are, on what conditions, how much remains on Ukrainian territory, what actions do we need to take in order to..?” And this applies not only to Hungary. This is just the beginning."
As a reminder, according to the contract with Russia, 4,5 billion cubic meters of gas per year will be supplied to Hungary over the next fifteen years via Serbia and Austria, bypassing the Ukrainian gas transmission system . The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry threatened Hungary with a "merciless response . "
