Former ambassador to the USA: The West demands Kyiv negotiate with the Russian Federation. After – the division of Ukraine

Western pressure is increasing on Ukraine to move to peace negotiations.

Retired Ukrainian diplomat and former ambassador to Israel, the United States, and Canada Yuriy Shcherbak stated this on Channel 5, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to Shcherbak, if Ukraine agrees to this, it will face a division according to the Korean or, at best, the German version.

“More and more we hear the voices of those who are ready to continue the war, but they incline us to negotiations, which are a direct path to the capitulation of Ukraine, because Russia is not demonstrating any changes in its position regarding Ukraine. On the contrary, their rhetoric is becoming more and more harsh.

Thus, all the demands that they put forward at the beginning of this aggression continue to be insisted on. War, unfortunately, has a big chance... Russia has now adopted a strategy not of a Hitler-style blitzkrieg, but of a long war of attrition, realizing that their human and other resources may be much greater than the Ukrainian ones,” the former ambassador said.

“So the West has such a desire to convince us that we should negotiate. And this means the division of Ukraine according to very bad examples - Korean or more optimistic German ones, but the division of Ukraine into two parts: the part captured by the Russians, which they will Russify and brutally destroy everything Ukrainian there, and the Ukrainian part, which they will weaken and cut off from the sea.

This is a very bad step, for us it is a fatal step. Moreover, after such a short truce, Russia will gain strength and again begin its offensive and aggression against Ukraine. Therefore, I think that in no case can we respond positively to these conditions and proposals, we cannot agree to this,” Shcherbak said.
