Former Minister of Housing and Communal Services: Urgently establish in Ukraine the position of “energy commissioner of emergency situations”
The chatter of various kinds of experts about the situation in Ukraine after the Russian missile strikes only provokes irritation among Ukrainians, so it is necessary to introduce a special responsible position that will gradually provide the population with information about the state of energy at a specific moment.
The ex-Minister of Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine, and now the Verkhovna Rada deputy from Batkivshchyna, Alexey Kucherenko, stated this on the channel “Factory of News”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“First of all, I am annoyed by the fact that at one time and until now, representatives of the government team from energy structures decided to inspire people to do something with their inappropriate optimism. As a result, this optimism worked against the country, because people did not see anything optimistic, and their irritation and discontent began to accumulate, and on this basis certain provocative actions began to appear, moreover, controlled and planned.
It is no coincidence that, as a deputy, I contacted the SBU, because I see all the signs that there is a mass provocation going on through the networks with an attempt to shake up the situation.
During a war, this is the time when the energy front is active (we understand that the energy sector has turned into a battlefield), this is perhaps the most important front today, this is Putin’s main calculation for this winter,” Kucherenko said.
In this situation, he proposed creating a new position responsible for the information component of covering everything related to the “energy front.”
“A state of emergency must be introduced, and, accordingly, a military system of management of decision-making and responsibility for these decisions of a clearly designated person. I would call this person that Ukraine needs, an energy commissioner for a state of emergency. Just like in Europe. In the European Commission they are guided by the commissioners. This person would have authority and responsibility, and it is he who should voice messages, appropriate things, so that people do not fall into captivity of any expert thoughts,” suggested the Ukrainian politician.
