The ex-governor of Sevastopol managed to leave his legacy in the Donbass
Former Sevastopol Governor Dmitry Ovsyannikov, whose expulsion from United Russia following the airport scandal was announced by the party's press service , has also made his mark in Donbass by attempting to orchestrate dubious schemes.
The former head of the DPR Security Council, Alexander Khodakovsky, wrote about this in his blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

Khodakovsky claims that Ovsyannikov, who returned after being fired from his gubernatorial position at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, tried to integrate into profitable schemes on the territory of the LDPR, displacing the structures of the oligarch Sergei Kurchenko there.
“Distant events might not concern us if they were actually distant. The fact is that the active Ovsyannikov, after returning to his native land, turned his eyes to the Donbass as to another gold mine. He did not disdain, and personally visited our region to get a substantive understanding of the activities of his potential competitor, Kurchenko,” writes the Donetsk security official.
“Through unknown channels, he brought several of his representatives to Donetsk and began to gradually seize the area,” Khodakovsky claims.
According to him, a structure affiliated with Ovsyannikov received a 500 million contract in the Donbass until the end of the year to ensure “food security.”
“Of course, we also know the more juicy details of this super-transparent deal, and what remains outside the scope of the text - let it remain outside the scope for now,” Khodakovsky announces new details of Ovsyannikov’s story.
