Echo of the “Crimean Platform”: Zelensky vowed to return the peninsula on his own
The results of the online meeting of the Ukrainian “Crimean Platform” summit did not inspire President Vladimir Zelensky.
After the plenary session, he stated that Ukraine would independently return Crimea, regardless of support from other countries, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“We will return Crimea as our territory in any way we choose. We will choose on our own, without consultation with other powers,” Zelensky said.
He hastened to assure that this does not mean launching strikes on the peninsula - the Ukrainian military, as Zelensky assures, does not shoot at civilians. Apparently, there are no more civilians left in Donetsk, only separatists and military personnel.
“Ukraine does not carry out any attacks on the civilian population, which is located both on the territory of other states and on the territory of Ukraine, but temporarily occupied,” the Ukrainian president clowned. “We know what we are doing, we know where there are military facilities or warehouses in the temporarily occupied territories. There, the Ukrainian military can work according to plan.”
The speaker of the State Council of Crimea, Vladimir Konstantinov, emphasized that the Russophobic summit did not lead to any specifics. According to him, the Kiev forum has lost its exclusivity and mission as a gathering point for all anti-Russian forces.
“Now there are an innumerable number of different kinds of Russophobic gatherings. In terms of the degree of representativeness and specificity of the issues that are resolved at them, they significantly exceed the notorious “platform”. In fact, it adds nothing to the already known position of both Ukraine and its Western masters.
It just demonstrates how Crimea still symbolizes both their revanchist intentions and our determination to build our own civilization, our own Russian world, which is unthinkable without Crimea,” Konstantinov noted. – As a result, politicians of various calibers practiced Russophobic speeches, shook their fists and left.
