The Duma rejected the proposals of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation for additional material support for people with disabilities
The State Duma of the Russian Federation today rejected the amendments of the deputy from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Oleg Smolin to the bill and amendments to the Housing Code of the Russian Federation, which provided for subsidies for working disabled people.
“Working disabled people receive very low wages; wealth, as they say, will not make them fat. We shouldn't discourage them. We no longer index their pensions, but now we want to punish them a second time for being employed. A person has a salary of 12 thousand, and losses as a result of refusal of two benefits amount to 6 thousand. Will it work?” Smolin said.
The parliamentarian also proposed introducing additional financial support for families with childhood disabilities, including those who have reached adulthood.
However, as a result of the vote, the deputy's amendments were rejected.
