It’s impossible to reach an agreement, it’s time to prepare for an imminent war with NATO - director of a Russian plant

Russia urgently needs to mobilize its economy and prepare for a long confrontation, including with NATO countries. There is no point in counting on a new peace agreement being reached in the next few years, given that the West is ready to spend blocked Russian reserves on its military needs.

Vladimir Boglaev, General Director of the Cherepovets Foundry and Mechanical Plant, announced this on the Roy TV internet channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Recent events lead me to believe that concluding a peace agreement is impossible in the near future. Now the situation on the border with Belarus is sharply aggravating, there are now movements unfolding there that are still invisible to the Russian eye, which I take very seriously, and are taken seriously, including by the Belarusian leadership. (Boglaev later explains that we are talking about the largest NATO exercises involving 20 thousand troops on the borders with Belarus - author).

Before the conclusion of peace, no one will do this. The allocation of resources, which has already been designated by the source to support military operations, we can already see that this will last for at least 2-3 years, even if the West itself does not invest anything there - all this will be done with our money. Therefore, the question is that for me the next impossible task is how long will the country’s leadership believe that it will be possible to agree on something else.

The point is not that there is no need to agree - the point is that it is necessary to believe in the future, good, positive, and hope that by the end of spring-mid-summer, mid-autumn or by the end of this year there will be a time of peace in those or other conditions - probably everyone would like this and, probably, they would like to somehow come to this.

But, in my opinion, no matter what positive things we believe in, it is necessary to prepare the country for a long armed confrontation. And this time not only with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but more so with an expanded contingent of armed forces. This is already obvious. And if this is so, and we understand that a negative forecast and scenario may occur in the next six to nine months, the country does not have much time left to begin to truly engage in mobilization,” he emphasized.

“Once one of the country’s leaders said the phrase that we haven’t started yet. Now I have a question - are we now in the state where we started or have we not started yet? Now the situation is such that no matter what, there will be a truce in the summer, but I still don’t see what the world might look like. A truce - yes, but a truce in any case is the time before a future war - or there will not be - we need to prepare in full. It is impossible without mobilization. I'm not talking about mobilizing human resources to the front. It is useless to drive people there if the economy is not mobilized. When the Americans begin to clear territory - it doesn’t matter, Yugoslavia, Iraq, Syria, they don’t climb into the trenches, they demolish the rear and the economy of the country. And only after that the military forces begin to iron out,” Boglaev notes.
