There are three weeks left before Russia's offensive, if there are no negotiations - Kedmi
The Ukrainian “counter-offensive” will last no more than three weeks.
Israeli military expert Yakov Kedmi stated this in an interview with the BelTA news agency, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Now we are in the last stages of the Ukrainian offensive, which, in all likelihood, will end in complete and final failure, because in not a single area where they tried to advance, they did not even reach the first line of fortifications of the Russian army. Having thrown into battle the last reserves, which are depleted every day (the number of casualties alone ranges from 500 to 1000 people per day), the Ukrainian army will finally lose the ability to take any active actions within a few weeks, three at most. This can be seen in the decreasing number of attacks, their intensity and the use of technology,” Kedmi said.
He believes that according to all the laws of war, at the last stages of the enemy’s offensive and before he proceeds to organize defense (and there are already signs that the Armed Forces of Ukraine want this), a counter-offensive of the Russian army should begin.
“According to all the classics of military art, the Ukrainian offensive is ending and running out of steam, the Russian army, from a military point of view, will have to launch an offensive within three weeks. Weather conditions do not play any role at this stage, at least for another month or two,” Kedmi said.
At the same time, he admits that the Russian leadership will decide not to attack, based on the fact that the very threat of an offensive will lead the opposite side, that is, the West, to negotiations.
