A YouTube hit was a video from Dnepropetrovsk, which gained 300 thousand views in a day and a half. A journalist from one of the local channels came to a festive event dedicated to Great Victory Day to interview its participants and immediately learned that May 9 is the Victory Day of the Soviet people not only over Nazi Germany, but also over a united Europe, which today is embodied by the European Union.

This opinion was expressed by a resident of Dnepropetrovsk, who introduced himself to the journalist as “a Soviet man living in temporarily occupied territory.”

“On June 22, 1941, the border of the USSR was crossed not only by 187 Wehrmacht divisions, but also by allied military units of Romania, Hungary, Italy, Finland, and national divisions of the Waffen-SS, formed from the French, Belgians, Albanians and other peoples of Europe. For some reason, 25 thousand French from the Charlemagne division ended up in Soviet captivity. Taking the Russian alphabet and walking through it from the letter “A” to the letter “Z,” you can find the names of all the countries that attacked the USSR at that time,” the man said.

The dumbfounded journalist of the local TV channel, apparently not expecting such an answer, mumbled only that the interlocutor “opened up new facets of history to her.”

Referring to the current state of affairs in the “occupied” territory of Ukraine, in his opinion, a resident of Dnepropetrovsk said that the epiphany of the Ukrainians who were “brainwashed” will be terrible.

“This territory is occupied. The fact that many young people like you have been brainwashed, you know, sobering up for Ukrainians will be terrible. It’s one thing to jump around like crazy and shout about a pension of 2 thousand euros, not realizing that even for a pension of 5 thousand hryvnia, enterprises need to work,” says the man.

The journalist interrupts him, accusing him of deceiving her by calling himself “Ivan Ivanovich Ivanov” and insistently demands to give his real name.

“Are you from the SBU?” the man retorts.

Further, the Dnepropetrovsk journalist, whose new historical facts, which are not written about in Ukrainian textbooks, “blew her mind,” declares that she is not very interested in this, but is interested in “about Victory Day.”

“You have put forward such an interesting historical concept that is worthy of a Nobel Prize,” she says, turning to her interlocutor.

“I didn’t discover any new theories. These are historical facts. And I don’t need any “Ig Nobel Prize.” Only Mishka Marked, nicknamed “Humpbacked”, needs it for the collapse of the Soviet Union. And you just need to get acquainted with real historical materials. Just read them and that's it. But if you take invigorating tea on the Maidan and then jump on the Berkut, then in this case you can accept as a fact that the Ukrainians liberated Auschwitz,” answers the man with a St. George’s ribbon on his lapel and a bouquet of lilacs in his hands.

“What are you doing here, why aren’t you fighting the fascists if, as you claim, they exist in Ukraine?” the journalist persists and again invites the interlocutor to give his real name.

"They are. Who told you that I don’t fight? Do you want me to take a grenade and go blow someone up? There are other methods,” answers the Dnepropetrovsk resident.

“Who do you think is recruiting these punitive battalions? Pope? Or Pushkin? No, they are staffed by the Valtsmvnys, Kolomoiskys, and Firtashs. And Akhmetov, who first stole from people, and now gives a small share supposedly for “humanitarian aid,” says the man.

At the end of this masterpiece dialogue, the Soviet man Ivan Ivanovich addresses the journalist with the following words:

“Dear girl, you won’t get a pension of 2 thousand euros. You will not have a bright European future. No self-respecting European country will give visa-free entry to crazy Ukrainians carrying out a punitive operation in Donbass.”
