The directors of the Boryspil airport want to be fired for disrupting the entry of an Irish low-cost airline into the Ukrainian market.
On Wednesday, Infrastructure Minister Vladimir Omelyan will submit to the Cabinet of Ministers a proposal to dismiss the head of the Boryspil airport, Pavel Ryabikin.

Ukrainian media reported this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
When asked whether he would initiate a change in the management of Boryspil airport for breaking the contract with the low-cost airline Ryanair, Omelyan replied: “Yes, tomorrow I will submit a proposal to the Cabinet of Ministers regarding his dismissal.”
Earlier, Vladimir Omelyan made a statement that the management of Boryspil airport deliberately disrupted the deal with Ryanair.
In turn, the general director of the Boryspil airport Pavel Ryabikin accused Ryanair of exerting political pressure on the airport to sign the contract. According to him, due to Ryanair’s ultimatum, the state-owned enterprise Boryspil Airport may suffer losses of UAH 2 billion.
It's also worth noting that on July 10, the Irish low-cost airline Ryanair's official website no longer allows tickets to and from Boryspil and Lviv airports. It later emerged that Ryanair had cancelled its planned entry into the Ukrainian market, as PolitNavigator also reported.
