Deshchytsia admitted: Freebies for Ukrainian migrant workers in Poland will soon end

The number of Ukrainians going to work in Poland increases by 30% annually. The notorious Ambassador of Ukraine to Poland Andriy Deshchytsia stated this on Channel 5.

According to him, when Britain leaves the European Union, Polish workers will be forced to return to their homeland and will displace the Ukrainians.

“There are already about a million labor migrants. Now Polish consular offices are issuing 30% more visas to Ukrainians annually, starting in 2014. That is, the number of Ukrainians going to Poland increases every year... Why do Ukrainians go to Poland - because there are vacancies there that were vacated by Poles who went to work in Germany or Britain. If, say, with Brexit, Poles return from Britain to Poland, then these vacancies will not remain,” said Deszczyca.

Let us note that between 6 and 8 million Ukrainian citizens are currently working abroad. According to the National Bank, over the past 5 years they have transferred almost $30 billion into the country through official means (through banks and international payment systems). Another more than $5 billion, according to NBU estimates, were transferred through intermediaries and transported “in their pockets.” For comparison: Ukraine’s state budget revenues for 2016 are planned at about $18 billion. That is, over 5 years, guest workers have provided the country with more than two budgets.
