Deputy: Yatsenyuk plans to fire 100 thousand state employees

Kyiv, February 05 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – Arseniy Yatsenyuk, according to some information, at one of the last conference calls advocated the dismissal of 5% of public sector employees, which threatens unemployment for approximately 100 thousand people.

Deputy Sergei Kaplin stated this at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, asking Speaker Volodymyr Groysman to check the accuracy of the information about Yatsenyuk’s plans.

“At a conference call, I gave instructions to fire 5% of public sector employees. This is 100 thousand people - they may end up on the street. I warn you, if this is true, I will bring hundreds of thousands of state employees under the walls of the Cabinet of Ministers, as I did with the miners,” Kaplin said.
