After the end of the conflict, up to 20 million people will remain in Ukraine.
Political scientist Andrei Zolotarev stated this in an interview with propagandist Alexander Shelest, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the expert, the country is facing depopulation and degradation.
“The standard of living – there’s no need to guess twice, I think there will be about 20 million left. We are slowly and surely moving towards this figure. Depopulation, deindustrialization, degradation. There will be about 20 million left. The rest, and, unfortunately, the most productive in economic terms, in intellectual terms, the most efficient, will run away in this situation.
Yes, perhaps, I admit the possibility that the fake-out to ban men aged 18-60 from leaving the country for three years after the end of the war is a probe of public opinion. Because they understand perfectly well that a significant part of those who fought and those who did not fight will pour into Europe,” Zolotarev concluded.
