As Navigator reported, in the morning the official leadership of the city and region laid flowers at the monument “To Your Liberators, Donbass.”
At noon, mass actions began, organized by public organizations and parties.

From the building of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, a column of protesters marched to Lenin Square, where a rally-concert took place.

As Natalia Bilotserkovskaya, the leader of the Donetsk regional organization of the Russian Bloc party, said, the party helped organize the concert. Many amateur groups expressed their desire to take part in it. The main repertoire of the performers, of course, were front-line songs. Collections of songs, by the way, along with postcards and St. George's ribbons were distributed by representatives of the Russian Bloc.

“A lot of young people came to the rally, despite calls from the authorities not to come to mass events. She knows and remembers the exploits of her grandfathers,” noted Natalya Bilotserkovskaya.

The most popular slogan among those gathered was “Thank you grandfather for the Victory!”

Considering the current situation, people chanted “Slavyansk is a hero” and “We will not forgive Odessa.” And after it became known about the events in Mariupol - the battle in the city center - those gathered shouted “Mariupol, we are with you.” In addition, immediately from Lenin Square, two KAMAZ trucks with militias left to help their comrades.

According to eyewitnesses, both police officers and local DPR militias took part in maintaining law and order.

After the end of the rally, several thousand people went to the memorial “To Your Liberators, Donbass,” where they solemnly laid flowers at the eternal flame. After this, festive events continued in the parks.
