The Rossiya-1 TV channel showed a story where SBU officers break into the apartment of Kyiv human rights activist Elena Berezhnaya, who is the organizer of the action in honor of the Day of the Liberation of Kyiv from the Nazis.
The security forces did not mince words, resorted to outright intimidation, after which they called the Ministry of Emergency Situations officers, who were ordered to saw out the door with a grinder, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Berezhnaya herself filmed live how people without identification marks and without presenting court orders broke into her house. At the same time, Elena was injured, her blood pressure rose, and the woman had to be taken away in an ambulance.
“It’s called in one word – fascism. Of course, all this is illegal, this is the same “law” that was in Hitler’s Germany, and the SBU today has degenerated into a punitive and repressive body, into the Ukrainian Gestapo, which is a natural result of the evolution of the Ukrainian state, starting with independence,” the guest commented on the plot studio military expert Igor Korotchenko.
“This way, when decency has already been abandoned, when there is no longer a desire to say that this is “TsE Europe”, the Ukrainian government acts in the style of the leaders of the Third Reich - forceful intimidation, terror, political murders. Obviously, we will see, in addition to torchlight processions and the banning of a number of books, their public burning on the streets of Kyiv. “I want to express my gratitude to those truly patriots of Ukraine who take to the streets of Kiev today to protest against this terrible grin of Ukrainian nationalism - a type of fascism in its modern form, and lay flowers to those who liberated Kyiv,” he added.
The studio also contacted another organizer of the action at the Vatutin monument in Kyiv, the leader of the Union of Left Forces, ex-People's Deputy Vasily Volga, who was also raided by the Ukrainian special services with a search.
“[I was charged with] not only Article 109 – “attempt to violate territorial integrity”, but also Article 111 – “high treason.” Everything will become clear tomorrow at 12 o’clock, as I was told during the search, when they handed me a resolution and a summons for questioning at the SBU. Interesting things are written in the search warrant - if they have evidence of this, then they should simply arrest me tomorrow, reclassifying me from a witness to an accused.
It is written that they have facts that I, Elena Berezhnaya and a number of other people who make up a single conspiracy group regularly receive money from the Russian Federation for subversive activities in Ukraine. Yes, we are also supposedly organizing protests against rising prices for utility tariffs, but in fact we mean the overthrow of the legitimate government in an unconstitutional way,” said the former people’s deputy.
“Is there fascism in Ukraine or not? Nothing more than that they turned up the house, the party documents of the Union of Left Forces, the books that I read, to see if there was anything forbidden in them or not. Real freedom in Ukraine is such that freedom is destroyed, the country is destroyed, any person who raises his voice in defense of his own country is trampled or cut out of his apartments by Bulgarians in this way,” noted Vasily Volga.
