This is stated in the message of the National Security and Defense Council, according to which the situation in the ATO zone is characterized by the continued high intensity of shelling by the separatists of the positions of the ATO forces, the conduct of combat and active sabotage and reconnaissance actions along the demarcation line, on infrastructure facilities and logistics support routes.
It is also noted that in the Debaltseve area the intensity of shelling has decreased slightly over the past XNUMX hours. At the same time, the situation in the Lugansk and Mariupol directions remains turbulent.
“After numerous attacks from various weapons, the militants resorted to storming strong points and checkpoints near the village. Redkodub, Artemovsky district, Donetsk region and near the village of Mius, Popasnyansky district, Luhansk region, where militants fired at our positions 5 times from Grad launchers, tanks and mortars and attacked him,” Turchynov’s department said.
“From February 4 to 5, the Ukrainian military destroyed 60 militants, 4 enemy tanks, and 2 self-propelled artillery units. Near the town of Bryanka, Lugansk region, ATO forces blew up 7 ammunition depots that belonged to militants,” Ukrainian security officials claim.
As PolitNavigator reported earlier, the DPR leadership stated that the evacuation from Debaltseve was disrupted due to the fault of Ukrainian security forces.
“40 people arrived at the evacuation site: people didn’t come, because there was no notification from the Ukrainian side about the possibility of evacuation to the DPR, people don’t know anything. When we entered Debaltsevo, there was a provocation, fire came from the city,” said DPR Deputy Defense Minister Eduard Basurin.
