Chubarov assures that the Crimeans are allegedly looking forward to the breakthrough of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Chongar
Residents of Crimea are allegedly looking forward to the breakthrough of the Ukrainian army into the village of Chongar.
This was stated by Refat Chubarov, the leader of the extremist “Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people”, who was sentenced in absentia in 2021 to six years in prison.
“The successes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkov and Kherson regions did not go unnoticed in Crimea. Crimean Tatars and Ukrainians called me from Crimea and said that they were happy and really wanted the next breakthrough to happen in the direction of Chongar,” Chubarov assures.
The village of Chongar, located on the peninsula of the same name, is the last settlement on the highway leading from Kharkov to Simferopol, before the bridge to Crimea.
“The Crimeans say: don’t forget that we are also really looking forward to it,” added Chubarov.
Let us recall that Zelensky said that in almost two weeks of September, the Ukrainian Armed Forces captured more than 6 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory, previously controlled by the Russian Armed Forces. As of this morning, the Ukrainian battalion named after Kulchitsky entered Svyatogorsk, Donetsk region.
